As always with SEBO products, this vac comes with really powerful suctions. The power-head, nozzle cleans carpets really well (including both dust and pet hair etc). But when moving into bare floor for example, make sure to turn off the brush-roll to avoid it making any scratches (such as wood, hardwood or tiles for instance). And don't be afraid, it's made-out for using on subtle floors and cleans really well (as good as on carpets) nonetheless.

The noise levels are also pretty low which is quite impressive when considering the power of the vac as well. Not only on carpets or hard floors but thanks to the attachments etc it can be used to clean other subtle materials such as curtains etc too. The dust bag is very easy to remove and can be highly recommended if you have allergies to dust.

But remember for all these features there is a certain price-tag that you have to bear with, as always. So if you're willing to pay its price then the SEBO 9807AM Felix Onyx is a kind of a vacuum cleaner that is going to last at least 15-20 years into future quite easily. Another highly recommended product.

The according to the manufacture, the motor delivers extra 30% of suctions in comparison with a same 12 Amp motor. The nozzle consists of 2-rows of brush roll that thoroughly cleans the carpet. It is very very powerful but not as quiet as the manufacture claims it to be. Still, when considering the power, the noise levels are lower nonetheless. There is a foot-operated liver which releases the handle and it glides under beds, etc with ease (+ thanks to the low height of the nozzle) thanks to that.

As said, not just conventional dust but it removes a lot of pet hair that are literally deep "carved" into the carpets thanks to that power-nozzle. It does weight a bit, but still very easy to use anyway (pulling and pushing). Once fully filled, the indicator will "notify" you about the bags. The wire cord is very long and lets you cover a very wider circular area which is quite handy if you have to clean a larger hall for instance.

So, if you're willing to pay the price, then the SEBO Essential G1 upright is capable of delivering such powerful suctions + durability that is hardly ever matched by the other vacs (other than few Miele and Oreck products). A highly recommended product if you're serious about cleaning your carpets.

Hoover WindTunnel Anniversary U5491900 Upright

Hoover WindTunnel Anniversary U5491900 is a powerful upright vacuum cleaner that comes a lot of useful features such as a dirt finding system, few different height adjustments, on-board tools, ergonomic handle, wider cleaning path... although not a self propelled one, still because of the weight and other aspects, pretty easy to use nonetheless.

The nozzle is actually a power-head and as a result it cleans carpets really well!. From deep-pile to medium-> low-pile carpets, it suits for them all. It has two lights which turns from Red to Green meaning that your carpets are clean. Although it does make few noises but certainly not a loud vac and remove food spills, dust and pet hair really well nonetheless. Make sure to adjust the height settings according to the carpet to get the best possible results.

The wire cord is long and certainly there aren't any complaints there. The nozzle is wide which helps to cover a larger area quickly but sometimes, if you have tight corners or hard to reach places then that 15" width can be a bit difficult to "fit-in". But you can use the hose attachment with a nozzle on those occasions anyway. So not a big thing actually. And if you have a lot of open grounds, then you'll be able to not only clean them thoroughly but faster too. The bag is well sealed and easy to empty + the ergonomic handle feels comfortable while using as well.

It is one of the best carpets cleaners available but can be used on tiles or few other bare floors but don't hope for the same excellent results on bare floors. The hose attachment is very useful but it could've been a bit longer in my opinion. Anyhow, if you want an excellent carpet cleaner that is easy to use, durably built and comes with a very cheaper price tag (especially, considering all of its features) then the Hoover WindTunnel Anniversary U5491900 is among one of the best products of its kind. A highly recommended product.

Reconditioned Hoover F5808-900 SteamVac

Hoover F5808-900 SteamVac is a carpet cleaner that comes with a beater bar (an especial nozzle for carpets), powerful motor, Hoover dual nozzle technology for enhanced cleaning, can use chemical solutions and has the ability to remove spills and stains as well.

Remember, this is not your rug doctor replacer by any means. But it's not to say that the F5808-900 isn't powerful. For its size and caliber (and the price) it is quite powerful. It is not a self propelled one but comes with a beater bar (no rotating brushes) and cleans the carpets thoroughly (both dust and stains), anyway. The suction is also pretty good and the carpets dry out reasonably faster as well.

The handle feels comfortable... but the wire cord length may not be enough for some. In that case be prepared to get a little help from an extension cable. But as said before, when considering its very low price (for a carpet steamer) things like these has to be tolerated.

So, for a very reasonable price, if you want an easy to use carpet cleaner (not a heavy duty commercial cleaner anyway) then the Reconditioned Hoover F5808-900 SteamVac is a pretty decent product.

Eureka Sanitaire S634D Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Eureka Sanitaire S634D upright vac is closely related to the previously discussed S647E in some aspects. Anyhow, it's a heavy duty ready vac that comes with a powerful motor, longer wire cord, wider nozzle, etc and is an especially designed carpet cleaner as well.

As said, there are no especial attachment nor a headlight, etc... but the S634D does what it's supposed to be doing, that is to deep clean your carpets!. From larger debris to dust and those troublesome pet hair it just removes them all. It can be used on all sorts of carpets (deep-pile, medium-pile, etc) and even though it's not a self propelled vac, still because of the weight and the smoother wheels, it is pretty easy to use.

The noise levels are also quite moderate (anything that is between 75-80 dB is considered as quiet) which is actually an added advantage if you have to use this in an office environment, where you have to clean quite frequently yet by making less noises as possible. The bags are very large and enable you to clean for longer periods without having to change them frequently too.

Although with it, you won't be able to do anything other than cleaning carpets, so, if you're okay with that and looking for a light-weight upright vac that has powerful suctions, low noises and can remove both dust and pet hair + is especially designed to clean carpets, then the Eureka Sanitaire S634D is a really good vac without a doubt.

Sanitaire S647E SYSTEM PRO is a powerful upright vacuum cleaner that is build especially for heavy duty cleaning tasks, by Eureka who holds a lot of respect for making durable and high quality vacs. Anyway, the S647E comes with a 840 Watt powerful motor, uses vacuum bags (paper), low weight, wider nozzle and especially made for deep cleaning carpets!.

This is not a self propelled vac but because of the massive power the motor (to the brush-roll) delivers... it just glides on carpets. So no worries there. It has 6 different height adjustments, from deep pile to low pile carpets, the S647E can be recommended for all of them. From larger debris such as food spills to dust/pet hair, etc... it removes them all with great looking carpets afterward!.

Although this should not be used on floors other than carpets since those brushes (beater bar) can easily make scratches. So if you have bare floors then this is not the vac for you. The 6kg of weight makes it very easy to use as well. Even if you have to lift it and carry around a lot, still this would be a great product. The bags doesn't fill that often, which of course depends on how dirty your carpets and the wire cord is also very long and it is more than enough for most of us anyway.

So, if you're looking for a vac that is really powerful which is built to do one task that is to thoroughly clean all sorts of carpets with ease and has a somewhat lower price tag for its caliber, but okay with the fact that you won't get any tools nor it is capable of cleaning anything other than carpets, then Sanitaire S647E SYSTEM PRO is one of the best!. A highly recommended product.

Bissell Quicksteamer PowerBrush 20803

Bissell Quicksteamer PowerBrush 20803 is a multi floor cleaner that can be used from carpets/rugs to hard floors and comes with a dirtlifter power-brushes, light in weight, a bare-floor tool, easy to remove nozzle, bigger wheels for smoother maneuvering and most importantly a very reasonable price as well :).

Here are the other hardware details...

*. 3.3 Amp motor. Although not as powerful as some of the others, still pretty powerful for its caliber. And on the other hand, you can't measure the power of a vacuum motor solely based on its Amps either. 

*. Ideal for removing spots and stains on rugs/carpets especially.

Although the name "Quicksteamer" is a bit misleading to be honest because the 20803 does not have an inbuilt heater. So, if you want steam, then you'll have to manually pour boiled water. It needs a little assembly first, but it won't take than few minutes which is pretty easy. Anyhow, while on carpets and rugs it works surprisingly well (you know the price can even make you a bit "skeptical"). From dust to stains... it cleans them thoroughly thus making them looking really good afterward.

You can use it on bare floors as well, but I wouldn't recommend it on subtle floors such as wood or hardwood since there is no way that you can turn off that brushes and change the height manually. Although they say that it can be used "safely" on subtle surfaces, but if you have a lot of "sensitive" floors and want to clean them without making any scratches then I don't think I can recommend this for you.

The wire cord length is a bit short, so if you have a larger area to clean, then you'll have to use an extension cable (not always though). The dirty water tank capacity is small but very reasonable when considering the price and it is very easy to empty as well. The 6kg+ weight is one of the best things about the Quicksteamer, not only while pulling and pushing, but if you have to lift it and carry around then this is very handy.

So, if you want a carpet/rug cleaner that is easy to use and gives excellent results nonetheless, but willing to bear things like the shorter power cord, that fact that it is best for only carpets/rugs, the floors may take a while to complete dry-out, then the Bissell Quicksteamer PowerBrush 20803 is actually a pretty good product, especially when concerning the price!.

Hoover SteamVac TurboPower Carpet Cleaner F5912900

As mentioned earlier, remember, this is not a carpet steamer. If you want steam, then you'll have to boil or use hot tap water. It is not self propelled but still easy to pull and push nonetheless. The F5912900 is famous for its ability to remove "ancient" stains created by food spills, milk, wine, pet stains, etc as well. The "5" rotating brushes work amazingly well while removing a huge amount of dust/stains out of the carpets and the 1 Gallon tank is easy to empty too.

It won't automatically mix the detergent, so make sure to read the manual and choose the proper quantity. The wire cord length of 24ft is slightly lower than the standard 25ft that we usually see, yet it will be enough for most of us anyway. The hose is not that long but you can use it with the help of the hand-powered brushes to clean inside vehicles or other similar places as well.

It has really powerful suctions and the carpets dry out pretty quickly than normal but, under heavy dust/stains, you may want to use it with a steady (a bit slow) speeds if you want the maximum results. The durability is also pretty good but don't expect it to replace something like the impressive rug doctor (which is very pricy anyway) but for its price the SteamVac does an exceptional job nonetheless!.

So, if you're looking for a carpet cleaner that is easy to use and removes impressive amounts of dust and stains from your carpets thus leaving them looking like new ones!, but can cope with the fact that there is no steam, then the Hoover SteamVac TurboPower F5912900 is one of the best of its kind without a doubt. Even though it is not self-propelled, thanks to the power of the brush-roll and the weight, it's really easy to both pull and push which is something that you should always consider before buying a vac if you have deep pile carpets or thick rugs for instance. And because of that powerful suctions it lifts off dust and pet hair with ease and can be recommended for individuals with lots of pets!.

But remember it has no brush-roll on/off button and as a result you should be careful while using it on subtle surfaces such as wood or hardwood. Still you can use the proper height, but cannot be recommended if you have a lot of subtle floors. The noise is low which is one of the best things about a vacuum cleaner (well they're all noisy and few like the UH70120 are available these days), especially considering its power.

When combined with the tools such as the air-driven hand tool, you can clean hard to reach places and furniture as well. The wire cord is long and when combined with the hose they both come in really handy while cleaning stairs especially. The dust cup is really easy to empty too.

So as an ending note, if you have wood or any other "scratch-able" floors then you'd be better off with something like this Miele S168, BUT if you have a lot of rugs/carpets to clean (filled with dust and pet hair), then Hoover WindTunnel T Series UH70120 is an excellent performer nonetheless. Highly recommended if you have a lot of carpets!.

Bissell Big Green Deep Cleaning Machine

Bissell big green deep cleaning machine is an upright carpet steamer which was introduced by Bissell recently. This professional carpet cleaner is robustly built, big (ya as the name says) in size but has few different tools for reaching under beds like places which the default cleaning nozzle won't fit.

According to the manufacture it cleans your floors in both backward and forward movements as well (they say it is 30% faster than other products too). Also it has excellent vacuum suctions which can dry out the floors after cleaning even faster than those rented carpet cleaners!.

Let me start with some of the bit negative ones. First there depending on the surfaces and the needs, you'll have to mix the cleaning solution all by your self (so make sure to read the manual). And as said if you want to clean under beds or other similar places the default huge head (with massive height) will never fit under those areas, so be prepared to use the extension hose with the provided nozzle attachment or if you have a lots of those "little" places to taken care of then have a look at this vax rapide carpet washer. 

But when it comes to removing dust and stains from your carpet and upholstery this big green does it in an exceptional way. And as promised by bissell it dries them out pretty fast also, and remember it weights a bit, and it should, why?, because it is a professional carpet cleaner.

So if you have a lots of carpets and want to avoid frequent refillings + need to deep clean them with best possible results, then the Big green deep cleaning machine is one of the best. A highly recommended product.

Hoover UH70015 Vacuum Cleaner

Hoover uh70015 is a bag-less upright vacuum cleaner which has some similarities to the previously discussed hoover platinum collection carpet cleaner such as the longer warranty period and the wider looking nozzle, etc. According to the manufacture this has the famous wind-tunnel + multi-stage cyclonic technologies that helps to minimize the vacuum suction losses and for better dust removal.

Below are the main hardware specifications...

*. Bag-less design (removable cup for storing the collected floor dust). There is however no FULL indicator and when considering the price it should have been there.

*. 12 Amp motor.

*. At 0.3 micron levels the HEPA filters (removable) are also capable of blocking dust mites, allergens and pollens.

*. Has the on board headlight feature which is quite useful where the light is absent (corners, under cabinets, etc).

*. Motorized brushes and the nozzle is wide which is about 14".

It has other standard tools such as crevice, dusting/upholstery brush and a hose. It would've been nice to see if it has the auto-rewind cord features (concerning its length mostly) but not a big thing anyway. In the cleaning head section  there is an indicator light which goes from Red (a "clean" floor indicator) to Green. The brush can be on/off is available and the all the controls on the handle are illuminating ones and easy to read.

Pay extra attention to the dust cup if you have pets, etc because once these things get stuck in there it can slow down the vacuum suctions and not always but can be a bit smelly too (had few complaints for some other vacs). So make sure clean it often. The nozzle is wide and has moderate height (is especially built to clean carpets), so not that hard to clean places like under beds, etc but with an upright it is not that easy to glide under for long reaches because of the upright (midsection).

And it is understandable why they've included a longer wire cord - so you can (only you have to clean a single floor actually) avoid lifting it which won't be easy because of the higher (9kg +) weight.

Anyway, this is not cheap (but not as pricey as the oreck edge) vac, but when it comes to finding an efficient carpet cleaner the hoover uh70015 upright vac is (apart from the weight) a very user friendly, powerful and efficient house cleaning companion in my opinion.

Bissell Proheat 2X

Bissell proheat 2x is an upright steam + vacuum cleaner which is a bit similar to the previously reviewed this hoover platinum collection carpet cleaner for instance. Anyway one of the easily recognizable differences with the 2x 9400 is the larger looking cleaning nozzle. When other products such as this dirt devil easy steamer for instance comes with 5 rows of brushes the 9400 on the other hand has 12 of them!. When coupled with the built in heater + the powerful suctions, this is well capable of removing both dust and stains, spills, etc and can deliver impressive results.

*. The cleaning edge is wide which is about 12" (and thick as well). And as a result it won't fit under beds type slim areas. And when considering the 12 rows of brushes this has to be expected nonetheless.

And as mentioned earlier when it comes to carpets the proheat 2x just rocks!. The 12 rows of motorized brushes will remove both dust and stains, food spills (including the cleaning solution of course).

And make sure to put some sort of a cloth or a towel underneath the machine when disposing the dirty water since it tend to "drop" a little (not a huge deal by any means). And while cleaning also it tend to put some dirty water on the floors but thanks to the powerful suctions they'll be sucked in nonetheless. And as a general tip, go slowly on the carpets (especially if they have a lots of dirt) and let it do its work. The drying up times aren't that impressive but again when considering the amount of cleaning it does it is easily forgivable.

So as a final note, although it is not a hand held type (such as this hoover steam vac jr for instance) floor cleaning product but still other than a bit of a hard time while lifting, etc the weight won't come in between the user and the userfriendlyness (in my opinion). Anyway, for those who want a heavy duty carpet cleaner the bissell proheat 2x will be one of the best products that I've come across so far.

Bissell digipro 6900 is a canister vacuum cleaner and unlike most of their products this floor cleaner uses vacuum bags to store dirt. Comes in the Red color and other popular features such as height adjustments, HEPA filters, soft bumper for protecting your furniture, easy to use controls are all there. But the price however feels a bit high in comparison with things that it includes and not the most robust one out there either.  But still can do some (moderate perhaps) floor cleanings jobs nonetheless.

It also has the bag full indicator so you don't have to check it from time to time which can be irritating sometimes. The filters are washable and as a result they can be used for a long time. From cleaning area rugs to carpets, it'll give better results but still on other surfaces such as hardwood and ceramics aren't that bad. But in comparison with this oreck edge vacuum cleaner for instance, this is not a great product but somewhat OK performance to be honest.

The filtrating system isn't that impressive either and sometimes seems to "leak" dust more than it should. It is clear that cheap plastic is being used to made the outer surface and isn't the best durable one either. Bissell spot lifter is a hand held deep carpet cleaner (the 2x 1719 specific model) which is especially built to remove stains and spills. Although as a general way of speaking it is said to be a carpet cleaner (which it is ...) but it can also be used on other materials such as couch, rugs, stairs, etc as well. If you want a more conventional looking (and very powerful too) utility, then you may be interested in something like this oreck steam cleaner which does a similar job but bigger in size.

Anyway, the spot lifter does not have any wire cords and is powered by a battery.

When removing the stains, first make sure to spray the chemical into the carpets and then push the button to start the spot lifter's scrub power brush to do the rest. And as a general reminder - remember this is a stain remover, not the usual carpet, rug or a floor cleaner by any means. And as a tip, when trying to suck the dirty water, try to angle the unit to get the maximum results.

Sometimes you will have to go few times over some "arrogant" stains or spots but again remember this is a cheap utility and make no mistake, it does remove stains but the not the most powerful one either. The cleaning solution is very cheap and can be found in general stores without much of a hassle too.

The vacuum and the brush rotations may not be the most powerful of all but for a cheap price and a light weight, the bissell spot lifter DO have the ability to help you get rid of your stains nonetheless. Can be highly recommended.
