The pad/s are durable but as with all the pads after sometime you'll have to buy new ones. Now if you buy them directly from Oreck they're gonna cost a bit high. But you can always find third-party made mops at more cheaper price ranges anyway. The tank may look small in comparison with some other but that capacity has the ability to last longer times once filled. But remember that after filling the water the weight will also go a bit higher.
You can lift it while cleaning windows for instance without much of a hassle but lifting something that weights around 5 kg for some won't be that easy either (if you're pregnant, etc), so keep the weight factor in mind before purchasing. But remember that this is a steamer not a vacuum cleaner so to get the best out of your surfaces you might need to do a vacuum job first (depending on the amount of dirt, etc).
The grout removing tools work really nice which is certainly good news for those who have hard stains (bubble gum on carpets, etc). But as you can see the size of the nozzle isn't that wide, so you'll have to be patient when cleaning larger rooms for insntance. Anyway if you want a a quiet, powerful and easy to use steamer that can be used on a lot of surfaces then the Oreck steam-it is a really good product (not recommended for heavy duty usages).
