This is a more light weight super fast (spins at 88,000 RPM) spinning motor which provides pretty powerful suctions (including the rubber brush rotation, which is a patent technology).
*. Root Cyclone Technology
The new version of the "old" cyclone technology which was also first introduced by Sir James Dyson who's the designer of dual cyclone vacuum cleaners (bag-less). Well, this has been around for sometime now actually, anyway this is more efficient and well "sealed" than the predecessors (not only it enhances the suctions but once sucked in, the dust won't get on the floors which is a common drawback of all vacs in general).

This mainly consists of carbon fiber brushes which are designed to work better at hardwood floors (including the nylon brushes for removing dust/dirt more "subtly" without making any scratches and thoroughly as well).

*. 65 Air Watts of continues suction power and remember in comparison with some of their own products such as DC33 animal, this is like nothing because the DC33 has a massive 255 AW suction power. But the DC35 is a lightweight hand vac tool not an upright/canister re-placer anyway.
*. Weight is 2.2 kg! and as you can see in the picture has an expandable arm. Lower the weight lesser the amount of strains it puts on the hand thus giving you a better feeling of comfort while using it.
*. The tank capacity is about 0.340 liters.

As "promised" by Dyson with the help of the "digital motor", DC35 does deliver better suctions for a hand-held vac and if you have a lot of carpets, then make sure to use the power-head attachment. The battery time of 13-15 mins may look "little" but when comparing with other similar products this is really good. And since it changes 3x than others, you can re-use it quicker than usual anyway.
The slimmer head + with the help of the tools can be used to clean sharp corners, stairs, under beds and inside cars, etc with ease and the carbon fiber brushes not only do a gentle job but does help to pick up more larger dust particles (sand, etc) as well. The dust bin is a smaller one but the capacity is quite moderate when considering the whole size of the product.
Dust bin is an easy empty one and really easy to perform, push the "Red" latch while holding vac above a trash bin. That's it!, no mess to worry about. The best results were achieved while using on stairs, carpets and hard floors.
So if you want one of the easiest to use, highly portable, powerful (remember... not replaceable for a commercial vacuum anyway), quiet + a bag-less vacuum cleaner and OK with the battery life (keep in mind that you can't use a power cord other than to charge the battery) then the new Dyson dc35 multi floor digital slim is one of the best of its kind.
