Before telling you about its real abilities, let me advice you on how to pick it up properly. Although it is intuitive to pick it up using the handle, but if you do that then you'll damage the soft switch. This is not a design error and is written in the manual too. When carrying it around always use the dedicated grabbing area below the handle (gripping section, it is well explained in the manual).

So let's come back to the review. It may be heavy, but because of the self-propelled nature, it is so easy to use!. Although as a drawback that comes with all the self-propelled vacs, you'd most probably will have to replace the belt once every 6 months. But still when considering the ease of nature, it is worth it! (belt are very very cheap too). Thanks to the self-propelled nature, different heights + the powerful motor, it is one of the best carpet cleaners that you can get and remove both dust and pet hair as well (comes with a separate dedicated pet hair removing hand too). From subtle things such as dust/dirt to larger food spills, etc... it just sucks everything! thanks to the powerful suctions.

You can use it wood, hardwood and other bare floors as well but to be honest being a self-propeller, the best results are achieved on carpets. When cleaning upholstery or any other area where the upright won't fit, make sure to combine the two hose attachments which give you pretty decent lengths. It is not that quiet, but for its size and power it is quite bearable.

So, if you want one of the best vacuums for cleaning carpets (+ edges) and okay with the higher weight which will ONLY be an issue if you want to carry it around to another floor for instance, then the Hoover WindTunnel Anniversary U6485900 is one of the most impressive vac that I've seen in a while.
