Below are some of its other hardware specifications...
*. Uses vacuum bags.
*. It has a larger dirt tank with the capacity of 4.2 liters (roughly).
*. Although the wire cord length is about 20ft (or 6.4 meters) and is somewhat short. But you can always use an extension cable if found the default length not to meet your needs anyway.
*. Has a reasonably wider cleaning path which about 10 inches + has a smaller height, so it can glide under beds or other similar hard to reach places with ease.
*. The motor is a 10.4 Amp (uses 1200watts) one. So not too powerful neither weak, fits somewhere in between.
*. Comes with few different speed settings that can be controlled via the soft switch.
*. Comes with a telescopic handle.
*. Has few different height adjustments that has to be adjusted manually.
*. The filters are capable of filtering materials at 0.5 microns and capable of removing over 95% pollutant content. But keep in mind that the never HEPA filters can do this at 0.3 microns (lower means better filtration). Since they're removable you can purchase better ones afterward, so no big deal here.
*. Yes in comparison with the oreck it costs less but not in general. So it is a solid vac but cost a bit higher that usual.
What the Users Say about it

The nozzle is a 360 swivel one, which can be quite useful for both navigation and while cleaning edges, etc as well. It is an excellent carpet cleaner (including pet hair removing) thanks to height adjustments + the power nozzle but still as always with Miele.. it is quiet!. The power cord also lengthy, so complaints there either. But the only drawback is actually plastic outfit. Given the higher price I have to say that.. it is bit of a disappointment.
Anyway, if you're willing to pay a higher price and can cope with the lower durability but want a powerful carpet cleaner.... then the Miele Plus S251 is a really good product nonetheless.
