The vac can be used on hardwood, tiles, ceramics, concrete, carpets, etc and further more they claim that the design makes the  weight to be intelligently carried to the smooth wheels (two) thus making both pulling and pushing easier (well true to most upright cleaning devices not just this one in that case).

The HEPA filters are capable of filtering at 0.03 micron levels (including allergic materials, etc). This not only helps the user but if you have cats and dogs then better filtering means better protection for the motor (better pet hair removal) which improves the durability of the machine itself. But if you usually have a lot of animal hair, then make sure to clean the filters a bit often than usual (read the manual).

The warranty consists of 3 years (limited) + 10 years of annual tune up also. Anyway the price is high but they are so confident in this product and as mentioned before they give you about 30 days of money back guarantee!. It uses vacuum bags and is one of the easiest to remove and insert too.

So for some reason if you don't like the new oreck edge vacuum cleaner (which is highly unlikely) then simply ask for your money back, ether way you've got nothing to loose!. Costly but a great product nonetheless.
