The telescopic wand has different height settings that can come in handy depending on your height while using and takes little space when storing as well. Or, you can remove the wand completely and can turn the S168 into a hand-held if you like also. I'm not quite how it would perform on bare floors without the parquet brush attachment, but on carpets and wood floors it does an exceptional job!. It is powerful, easy to use but still very quite.

For a stick vac, it picks up impressive amounts of pet hair as well. The nozzle is both wider has little height and comes with the swivel feature, thus can be used to clean hard to reach places such as under beds or similar places with ease too. The bags may not be the biggest but for a stick vac, they do hold decent amounts of dust nonetheless. Although it may not be the best for cleaning deep-pile carpets but still on both rugs and low pile carpets it does an excellent job by removing both pet hair and dirt (including larger things such as food spills, etc).
So if you want a durable, quiet, very easy to use stick vacuum cleaner that has some impressive suctions, then you really shouldn't miss Miele S168 in my humble opinion.
