iRobot Scooba 230 Floor Washer - World's Smallest!

iRobot announced their next version (or perhaps even the next generation) of automatic floor cleaner products called the scooba 230 which they claim as the world's smallest too. Why the size is important?. Well first of all even with other similar products, one of the obstacles of having an automatic floor cleaning tool is that since it is powered by a robotic navigation technology the more obstacles you have in your house such as - if you have a lots of furniture, etc then it will be quite difficult for the machine to go to those hard to reach spots and remove the dust for instance.

So especially for these types of devices, the size do have a significant role to play. With the scooba 230 floor washer, because of its smaller size, it will easily navigate around your bathroom, kitchen (under cabinets, chairs, etc), etc with ease. This according to the manufacture iRobot, has the ability to get rid of around 97% of common germs and bacteria as well (from certain types of surfaces only according to them - sealed hardwood, tiles and linoleum).

It has inbuilt different sensors for avoiding stairs, high areas, soft bumper for protecting against scratches, etc as well. The overall size is just 6.5" (inches) in diameter and 3.5 " inches wide, which is certainly smaller than the mint version. It may have a better technology but the way it work is just the way a standard floor washer works. First it'll wish then will do the scrub job on the floors and finish with a vacuum cleaning, as simple as that. Again according to the manufacture the scooba 230 also has the ability to "loosen up" the stains but not quite clear if it can fully remove them anyway.

It also has easily removable cleaning nozzle section for maintaining the brushes, etc.  It has another technology called iAdapt responsive cleaning technology which analyzes the whole area 60 times per second for making sure no dust is left behind. Since the scooba 230 floor washer is not yet released by the iRobot, so it is impossible to say how it really works, etc but let the time pass by and hopefully we'll be able to know if it can live up to all that hype anyway!.
