The solution trigger is located on the handle for ease of access. It is not a steam cleaner but only a wet/dry vac, so no heaters here but if you have hard stains, etc then you can fill the tank with boiled water for enhancing the process of removing stains. Still, without the "steam" it cleans hard floors with impressive results nonetheless.
Best practice for removing stains with H3000
Make sure to use some of that cleaning solution (use the "kind" that suits the job) - turn on the scrubbing brushes. Now pull the vac and let it go over the spot/area. Then spray the chemical on the floor. Now, don't pull it back instead, lift back on the handle to recline the vac out. This leaves some more of that cleaning solution on the spot. Let it be there for few minutes.
Now comeback after few minutes and let the scrub-brushes rub on the area then vacuum it thoroughly to remove any remaining solution out of the surface. Wallah!, the stain should be gone by now. This may not work on all hard floors but should work on tiles and linoleum floors especially.

Because of the reasonably larger tanks, you can clean a larger area without having to refill it a lot often which is a major relief. The weight makes it very easy to use. Although the nozzle width is moderate, but still it may not be able to glide under tight places too deep because of the bigger looking midsection. But still it is compact in size in comparison with others.
It has soft brushes that are ideal for cleaning wood or hardwood without making any scratches. But the biggest drawback is the noise. It certainly is not quiet and may not be even called moderate either!. So before purchasing, make sure to consider the higher noise. But still it is very powerful nonetheless.
So, as an ending note, if you want an easy to use wet/dry vac that can be used to clean all sorts of hard floors with pretty good looking results but willing to bear the noise , then Hoover Floormate H3000 is among the best of its kind without a doubt!.
