It is powered by a battery and in general, the cordless vacs last not it hours but in minutes which is also the case with Eureka 108A. So before going any further, make sure that you're comfortable with the 12-15 minutes of battery life (20 at most, make sure to charge the battery for 24 hours before using it for the first time). But just because it uses a battery does not mean that it is powerless, it has the ability to remove pretty decent amount pet hair apart from the dust and food spills from the floors as well.

Although for any vac, it is a bit easy to clean bare floors rather than those troublesome rugs or the deep pile carpets. But still the 108A is capable of doing some "decent" cleanings on low-pile carpets (haven't tested on deep-pile, but when looking at the hardware, don't get your hopes up high). But if you have "moderately" dirty bare floors such as tiles, ceramics or even hardwood, then it cleans really well for its size and caliber nonetheless.The handle can be retracted into the main unit thus giving a light weight hand vac that can be use to clean stairs or other tight places.

So, for a very cheap price what you'll be getting is not a heavy duty vac, but only a light duty ready, very easy to product which can be recommended if you have a lot of bare floors (not for rugs or carpets) and if OK with the light-pickups only. If so, the Eureka 108A easy clean 2 in 1 is a pretty good stick vac which does exactly what it is supposed to be doing!.
