Below are some of the other hardware details in brief...
*. Can be used on various types of floors such as tiles, grout, carpets, rugs, hardwood, ceramics, bamboo, etc.
*. It vacuums, washes and then dries up the surfaces quicker than most of the other products.
*. The spinscrub brushes are especially designed enhance cleaning tiles, wood (sealed) and vinyl floors (smooth and no scratches).
*. Two larger tanks for keeping both steam and dirty water separately.
*. The wire cord has a length of over 8 meters (8.2 to be precise).
*. The cleaning path has a length of 13 inches. Not only it is reasonably wider but has reasonable amount of height as well.
*. But as with most of the heavy-duty steamers it weight a bit high than usual (10.1 kg roughly).
*. The assembly is easy and won't require any special tools either.
*. Has a powerful motor and uses 12 Amps.
*. Warranty applies to up to a year (for both labor and parts).
*. The handle has switches (on/off, detergent control, etc) mounted on it for ease of access.
*. Uses a chemical solution.
*. The larger rubber wheels makes it easy for both pulling and pushing.
Because of the brushes and the suctions it'll dry the floors out faster than usual. It has powerful vacuum suctions (but won't replace a dedicated vacuum anyway) which is a must while cleaning carpets using chemicals, because if not properly removed the cleaning solutions can damage them over time. The brushes also does a fine job removing stains too.
It does not come with the auto mixing feature, so you'll have to mix the chemical. Ready the manual for the proper amounts. It is a bit noisy but not unbearable. Although sometimes it tends to leave a bit of water on the floors which is not a good thing, but doesn't happen always. So hard to tell if it's a drawback or had something to do with the surface. But be aware of that.
So, it may not give superior results all the time, but if you have a lot of tiles or similar floors and can cope with the heavy weight then the Hoover Floormate FH40010 is a pretty decent product nonetheless.
