Miele S5981 Capricorn

If you're really serious about getting a very powerful canister vacuum with lots of features and still want it to be really .. I mean really quiet and can bear with the higher price, then Miele S5981 Capricorn is an excellent choice. Max motor power input of 2200 Watts, stainless steel durable telescopic wand, low weight and excellent high quality HEPA filters... it really is high in quality.

But if the price is a bit high and unless you want a canister so badly.. you might be interested in the oreck edge, but remember it is an upright.

The standard power-head has an automatic height adjusting feature and will give the best results under low and medium pile carpets. The hose has a 360 rotations for smooth usability from the user point of view. It is extremely powerful and will remove dust/dirt and pet hair from your carpets with exceptional results. On the power-brush head there is a head-light which can be use on darker places (especially under beds where light is minimum).

When using it on wood or hardwood floors, please make sure to use the parquet brush for better and scratch free cleaning. You can use it on rugs and tiles, ceramics type floors too. The wand is really light in weight and when combined with upholstery tool you can clean carpeted-stairs or other upper areas with ease as well.

It will cost a bit high but has one of the finest air-filtration techniques. Even under heavy dust/pet hair .. the output air doesn't give any odors either. Again the noise levels in comparison with some other products are as low as 2x or even 3x times and when considering its power which is very impressive. So if you live in an apartment but want to clean it pretty often without annoying your "neighbors", then this will most definitely come in handy.

So, if you're willing to spend "some" money, then the Miele S5981 Capricorn will give you exceptional cleaning results under multiple floors, extremely quiet, easy to use and carry around because of the lower weight and will last for a years to come without loosing any of its abilities which is a well known fact of Miele vacs in general, so it can be highly recommended.
