Even though it has a powerful motor but still the noise levels are impressively low which is another thing that they are quite famous for.

*. In comparison with their Titan S2180 model the S5280 weights impressively lower - about 6 kg (roughly). Although the weight difference is about 2-2.5 kg but still for a vacuum manufacture it takes a lot of effort to reduce weight without sacrificing the power.
User Feedback Section
You can use it on a lot of different types of surfaces but the power nozzle has the beater brushes + the automatic height adjustments which help to loosen-up dust on carpets especially, so if you have a lot of carpets then it WILL will bring excellent results!. Although the nozzle widths isn't the most widest but it certainly will come in handy while cleaning tighter spots such as under furniture or narrow places, etc.

The nozzle can be recommended to be used on low-pile carpets and bare floors but if you have high-density carpets it might be a bit troublesome to pull. It picks up good amount of pet hair on the low-pile carpets + the bare floors, but not as impressive as some of their previous models such as the S4212 Neptune thanks to its dedicated pet hair removing nozzle.
Anyway, on other floors such as tiles, ceramics, etc ... you won't have any troubles using it and cleans really well too. As said the noise levels are pretty low as always. The wire cord as mentioned is short to be honest. 20ft is not something that can be considered "long", but as a workaround ... you can use a little help from an extension cable. Because of the various suctions + the tools you can use it to clean upper more subtle materials such as curtains as well (if not in the automatic mode then remember to choose the proper suction speeds with the combination of the tool of course).
So, if you're okay with the bit shorter wire cord and don't have high-density carpets or anything that is a bit dense (in that case you can try some of the other nozzle accessories which are compatible with the model which has wider and more powerful abilities)... then the Miele S5280 Pisces is an excellent multi-floor cleaner that can be used for regular house cleaning sessions with impressive results guaranteed!.
