Few Carpet Buying Tips To Remember

When it comes to creating a comfortable environment inside your house, carpets play a huge role. But how many times most of us end up buying the wrong type of carpets which doesn't suit the needs! and at the end all that money that you spent... all for nothing!. So by remembering these few tips I sincerely hope that it'll make it easier for you to choose the one that suit you the most, next time you're out there shopping.

Choose according to traffic

Now most will think of the color of the carpets first but it should come afterward actually. First consider the area that you're going to install the carpet. Not only the traffic it gets but also other things such as is it a bedroom, a living room, etc.

Now you can move on with other needs such as..

1. Matching the colors of the carpets with the surrounding things,

2. Cut pile (perfect for a high traffic area such a your doorway, etc) carpet, especially ones with fibers are not only dense + add more comfort and because of the durable nature of the fibers, they last longer.

Now there are mainly three types of cut pile carpets available. Frieze, Saxony and Plush. Saxony is easy to clean using vacuums because of the lower density and have a tendency to leave less foot prints as well. But frieze on the other hand will be the perfect choice here since it has a curly surface + can hide those marks which are left after vacuuming.

Consider the Twist

Again there are few variations when considering the twist pile carpets. As a general rule the more spring in the carpet will be better since it helps to hide those foot marks, etc because the more springs you have the more overall "holding" power it adds. But to be short..

*. Double yarn carpets are the best of this kind that you can buy. But usually they cost a little more.

*. Short pile carpets - They have a natural resistance to crushing but will be a bit less comfortable.

Also consider this when buying yarn carpets. Never buy poor quality wool yarn carpets. On the other hand an excellent wool carpet can last a lifetime! but again they may not be as cheap as some. Still if you want durability and more comfort then go for the quality.

Look for better stain protections

Food spills, liquids, etc are the enemies of your carpets. And unlike hardwood or tiles when they get into your carpets it will be much harder get rid of. As a general rule you should clean your carpets twice (2) a year.

*. So look for carpets with better abilities to fight against those stains.

And the never vacuum cleaner products have a technology called microban. Although it is a bit complicated, but in this case it has the ability to reduce bacteria, mold and mite activities on your carpets who are behind those stain expansion and bad odors. You don't have to use commercial vacuum cleaner but you can use one of the microban product chemicals in that case while cleaning your carpets for better protection against stains, etc.

Match the colors

This is another very very important thing. Even if you had the world's best carpet but still if it does not bled in with your surrounding then it's almost wasted!. So when buying one, try to take a

*. Picture of your carpet installing areas with you,

*. Also consider the lightning conditions,

*. Take fabric samples from cushions, etc where as possible.

The Warranty

Look for the warranty that cowers the carpets. Some high paying ones covers both the installation + the carpets but some just covers the carpets only. So read the user agreement.

Let a professional install it for you

It is always best to let a professional install the carpet for you and make sure the installation area is thoroughly cleaned before installing.

Be patient - Take your time

Go to a few different sellers and get a sense of the precises, features, first. And be patient and don't make purchases right away. Look for the same carpet type in another store. Maybe they have better prices, who knows. Just keep your options open!.
