So as usual let's have a look at some of the specifications first...
*. Powerful cleaning head which specializes in removing pet hair, from your carpets, rugs, etc.
*. They also provide you with an especially build tool for hard floors which enhances + protects the subtle wood surfaces from scratches as well.
*. The main on/off switch is located on the canister. This could be a bit weird if you're new to foot controllers... but it just takes some time getting used to.
*. Bagless.
*. HEPA filters are included and only needed to be taken care of every 6 months (washing, etc) and they have an impressive lifetime warranty + the ability to block allergic materials as well.
*. Weight - In my opinion this might be the only downfall. The weight is really high and if you're looking for a portable vacuum cleaner (like the new dyson dc35 for instance) or a similar solution then is certainly not for you. The weight is 16.3 kg.

They also provide you with few other very useful tools such as a stair tool, dusting tool + a crevice tool like with the henry vacuum cleaner. And the telescopic handle can be fold/unfolded (takes little space) within a second or a two and even though the cleaner itself is a mammoth in weight but still while using both pulling and pushing is really easy.
As said earlier this has one of the most powerful brush rotations out there which has a 5400 RPM rate and is one of the main reasons behind the impressive rugs and carpet cleaning abilities. The three phase cyclone suction + the filtration is another key feature, this not only improves the filtration but also once sucked the dirt has very little chance of "getting out" too.
Anyway be careful if you're using this on delicate rugs (well they're all delicate) because there were few complaints from users who got destroyed their old rugs while using the DC23 on those surfaces. So as a conclusion the Dyson dc23 motorhead is one of the most powerful bagless vacuum cleaners that you can find these days and the price will be a bit higher but when considering its performance... you'll have to tolerate it.
