Bissell SpotBot ProHeat Hands-Free 12U9A Deep Floor Cleaner

Bissell SpotBot Hands-Free 12U9A is a semi-automatic floor cleaner (stain remover actually) that can be operated using both, built in automatic presets or manual operations. From spraying the cleaning solution to brushing and sucking out the dirty water... in automatic mode, it does all by itself. It's compact in size, highly durable and can be used on carpets, stairs and upholstery as well.

Here are the main hardware details...

*. Comes with the Microban protection (a technology which prevents or minimizes bacteria activities on carpets or other floors thus resulting less stain "expansions").

*. Built in heater (heats up water about 25 degrees at max settings).

*. 9 Amp vacuum motor.

*. 32 Ounces of tank capacity.

*. Soft-bumper - No.

*. Carrying handle.

*. Comes with the Oxy-gen 2 (16 Ounces) and 8 Ounces of little green formula.

*. Wire cord length - 4.8 Meters (roughly). A bit short in comparison with uprights or canisters, but for its size and caliber this is pretty much the standard lengths nonetheless.

User Feedback Section

Although unlike the Bissell Autocare 14252 model which is especially made for cleaning inside vehicles, but you can use the 12U9A inside cars as well. Although it won't heat water as hot as with a steamer, but for its purpose the temperatures are more than enough. As said before, you can switch between automatic and manual "modes" with ease. While using the hand-tool with the hose for cleaning upholstery, etc make sure to set it to the manual mode. The automatic mode has two settings.

1. First mode - Runs about 3 minutes continuously.

2. Second mode - Runs about 6 minutes (continuous).

And once finished cleaning a spot, it'll notify you via its built in "beep". Once fully filled, the solution tank can last up to 12 minutes (which is about 4 cycles of the first automatic mode). From stains that are made out of food spills, puke, pet urine, wine, etc... the SpotBot does an exceptional job, and removes them all!. Although, when using it in manual mode, you'll have to be patient until it finishes a spot (you know, keep holding the hand-tool, etc) but other than that, most of the time the automatic mode does an excellent job.

You can pause/resume the cleaner using the soft button as well. The suction is also pretty good and as a result, the carpets dry-out reasonably faster too. But remember, this is not a carpet/rug cleaner, a stain/spot remover only.

So, if you have a lot of rugs/carpets filled with tough stains and looking for a tool that is durably built, powerful and does its job without you having to do anything at all, then I highly recommend the Bissell ProHeat Hands-Free 12U9A.
