What Is Microban Technology And How Can It Helps To Get Better Cleaning Results

Microban technology is not actually something that is confined to floor cleaning products but is widely used in other industries such as commercial food services, health care products, appeal & textiles, etc as well. So what is it actually?.

Well to put it into simple terms it is - a technology that is being intrinsically built into the products which helps to reduce activities of germs, dust mites, allergens, etc which are commonly behind carpet, rug, wood and other related floor stains, odors and quality deterioration.

So in general if you have cleaning products that are certified by the microban technology then while and after using them on your floors, they'll have better protections against those living creatures or better protection from stains in general. But remember this is not a health care product for us but.. works as a floor/surface protector Only!.

It can be seen in two types of products mainly...

*. Embedded to the floors or the materials (rugs, carpets, etc) themselves as an invincible coat (won't wear off after washing, etc).

*. Or can be seen with vacuum cleaner products such as this bissell healthy home or the oreck xl pro plus for instance.

Does it has proven its abilities?

According to the manufacture, there have been various tests in independent laboratories all around the world and here's the results that was recorded in their own words -

These samples were tested for efficacy against bacteria using the Kirby Bauer test method. Both samples were inoculated with bacteria and then photographed after 24 hours. The top sample was manufactured with Microban protection and the bottom sample was untreated. The sample with built-in Microban protection showed no growth. The untreated sample showed significant contamination

So if you care about reducing those stains and odors on your floors then next time you buy a cleaning product (vacuum or when buying carpets, etc) make sure it has the microban protection embedded.
