Miele Olympus S2120 is a canister vacuum cleaner that comes with a powerful motor called the Vortex Motor System (a Miele patent license technology), variable suction speeds, uses vacuum bags, longer wire cord and is recommended to be used on short pile carpets, rugs and hard surfaces. As said it is recommended for used under the above mentioned surfaces only (woods, concrete included). The floor combination head has few different settings that can be activated via the "foot switch". The HEPA/filtration system is fully certified against allergen/dust-mites too. Like this oreck edge it is so quite that you can even hear the phone ringing!.

You can attach the hoe attachment on the end of the S2120 or can attach it at back while on "upright" position. The bag has a larger capacity, so you can use it for a longer periods as well. Another benefit of canisters (some uprights do have it .. like this LG Kompressor LUV300B for instance) is that with the help of the upholstery tool you can clean areas such as chairs or other "upper" places with ease.

From floor, up to ceiling ...

As promised by the manufacture, the performance while using on carpets and hard floors is amazing. And if you have a lot of hardwood floors then a separate parquet brush purchase wouldn't hurt (since it avoids even the most "subtle" scratches).

So if you have lots of carpets or rugs especially, filled with dust and need one of the most quietest, light weight + powerful vacs available, then seriously go ahead and buy the Miele Olympus S2120 canister.. it's well worth the price. A highly recommended product.
