Eureka optima 431BX is a lightweight upright vacuum cleaner that comes with few different height adjustments, ergonomic handle, easy to empty dust-bin, powerful motor and a very reasonable price. Although it is not as durable as the Oreck edge for instance but for its price it does a great job nonetheless.

*. The color choices of the outer "skin" is really attractive actually (well more likely a personal taste anyway), a combination of Yellow and light Green.

*. Can be used of various types of floors such as bare floors, carpets and even on furniture (can be used to clean on top of a couch for instance as well).

*. As mentioned the "O" shaped gripping section (ergonomic handle) with eight (8) different height adjustment settings.

*. Apart from all these great features the wire cord is the biggest negative thing. Anyway it has the rewindable feature which pretty useful.

It looks slim and small but has a standard sized dust-cup capacity nonetheless. The disposal method is easy to follow too. But remember they do not ship it with HEPA filters but the ones that come with it works just fine. But still if you have allergies for instance this may not be your vac. As mentioned the folding feature of the handle not only makes it easy to use but also takes little space when it comes to storing the machine itself as well.

When using on carpets not only it'll remove dust but thanks to the powerful motor it can even removes pet hair as well. However it is not super durable and the wheels are OK but not that smooth on carpets. So if you have a lot of carpets and want professional results then you might be better off with something else. But that being said, if you're willing to bear few difficulties it can do some impressive carpet cleaning nonetheless (just not that smoother, most of the time).

Other than carpets the 431BX can be used on tiles, vinyl, wood, hardwood, carpets, etc and has some pretty good suctions. So, unless you're looking for something more robust or durable than this and can cope with the fact that it has a somewhat shorter wire + slightly lower quality wheels, then the 431BX eureka optima lightweight upright vacuum does have the ability to impress you with its ability to perform!.
