Here are some of the other hardware specification in brief...
*. Canister design with larger wheels mounted at the bottom (ease of use).
*. Tank capacity with 2 liters (roughly) which is pretty decent.
*. HEPA filters with lifetime warranty and has the ability to block allergic and bacteria content at the microscopic level (with layer bactisafe technology).
*. It has 3 filtration levels and an especially built air filter which according to the manufacture the air that comes out of it is 150 times cleaner than the air you breathe!

*. The dust container is made out with transparent material. But lacks the dust-cup full indicator. Under heavy dust it can be a bit difficult to see through it anyway.

But first of all after unpacking you'll have to do a little assembly which is pretty easy btw. But it is advisable to read the manual first. And the especially built contact head performs really well on carpets and rugs and will remove pet hair as well. It may a bit over weight but the rest assured you will get excellent suctions nonetheless. As said earlier if you want to clean more subtle materials then make sure to use the proper nozzle attachment so it won't do any damages.
Make sure to use the parquet nozzle when using on tiles or laminate floors and it will clean them as good as on carpets!. The dust-cup is easy to empty. Although it is made out of plastic but still it is really durable (maybe they've used the ABS plastics but not quite sure though). And it is advised by the manufacturer to clean the motor filters once every 3 months.
DC23 has superior suctions and make no mistakes about it but the only downside could be the noise. Yes it is noisy. But still if you're willing to "forgive" the noise and the weight, then even though it is costly but still for that price you'll get one of the most powerful, multi-floor ready, durable and an excellent canister vacuum nonetheless. A highly recommended product.
