Monster Steam Cleaner

Monster steam cleaner is a canister steamer which is made by a company called Euroflex (based on England - Southampton). Anyway from portable vacuum products to heavy duty floor cleaners you name it they have it. The monster steam cleaner is not a single device in fact it's actually a model/category name in which it holds few different types of (very similar to each other, design, features, etc) products such as SC20, SC45, SC60, etc.

In this article I'll be reviewing the SC 60 (portable) model and before going into that let me advice you few of the things that you should consider before purchasing steam cleaning devices.

*. Make sure the tank capacity has a reasonable amount of space inside of it. Otherwise while cleaning larger portions of your home you'll have to do several refillings.

*. Now there are some steam models that do not have a built in heater. Now if you purchase this type of devices you'll have to boil the water and fill it into the tank. So if you want to avoid those difficulties then make sure it has a built it heater.

And also make sure that the heater is powerful too. Because with a larger tank and if the heater is a smaller one then the it'll take some time to produce the steam. So be aware of that also.

*. The wire cord length is another very important thing and depending on the customer needs the length will have to differ but usually anything that has over 20ft is OK but the best ones are 25ft or more. But usually for portable ones 16+ would be okay. But again if you need longer ones you can always purchase an extension cable separately. So this is not a big deal anyway.

*. The cleaning pad has to be easily removable and re-attachable because you'll eventually have to clean the pad itself.

*. Weight - Well most of these monster SC models comes with canister type designs which pretty much holds the weight and with the attached smaller wheels you can easily drag it with you. But if you have to lift them quite often then make sure the weight is around at least 12-15 lb (below 6-7 kg).

OK, now let's get back to the review.

Monster Steam Cleaner - The SC60 (Portable/Canister)

Here are some of it's main features...

*. This has a pressure steam engine (pressurized steam outputs - works well on stains).

*. Once filled the tank has the ability to last up to about an hour.

*. Temperatures at their maximum level reach up to 130° C.

*. But after a full fill you'll have to wait about six minutes before the steam is ready (the manufacture advices to use mildly worm water to minimize the waiting time).

*. You'll have to wait another 5 minutes after the tank empties (till things cool down) but this is not something that applies only to this, it is common for steamers. Anyway, they have built a safe lock which prevents you from accidentally opening it.

*. Lightweight (3.3kg) and the shoulder-wrap enhances the portability.

*. Thanks to the well sealed tank after the steam is produced it'll hold the temperatures for some time (useful after a power breakdown for instance).

*. This is a multi-surface ready product and can be used on carpets, bathroom accessories, baby cloths, as a tile floor cleaner, glasses, stain removal wood and even car alloy wheels.

*. It has few different attachments - upholstery tool, car cleaning tool-kit, bare floor cleaning tool and a nozzle.

User Feedback Section

The noises are moderate but the wire is a bit short to be honest (about 4 meters... poor lengths - make ready an extension cable). Since it uses no chemicals, is pretty much safe around kids but be very very careful while using the steam and never let them touch the pad after cleaning (including the hose). Although not the ideal product if you have a lot of carpets but still should do some "decent" jobs on them too.

There is a separate switch on the handle for controlling the steam pressure, so use it wisely because the length that you can use it once the tank is fully filled will pretty much depend on the pressures that you apply. It may not "rock" on carpets but when it comes to grout, tiles or anything similar... it can do some serious cleaning!. If you have bathrooms with stains caused by minerals, etc then this is a highly recommended product because it does an exceptional job.

Make sure to use the scrub brush attachment as needed which again a necessary tool for cleaning bathroom floors especially. So if you want a highly pressurized steamer that can be used on a lot of hard floors and can cope with the fact that it won't perform better on carpets... then the SC60 monster steamer is a highly recommended product.
