Panasonic mc-cl485 Vacuum Cleaner

Panasonic mc-cl485 is a canister vacuum cleaner that comes with electrostatic filters, lightweight telescopic wand, multi-surface cleaning nozzle (3 in 1 – more on later) and no need to buy vacuum bags since it uses a dust cup.

Although in comparison the power cord length for instance is a bit short but for its cheaper price it is pretty decent (you can always get some help from an extension cable for that matter).

Although the lack of height adjustment will “hurt” some of the quality while using on carpets (except on low-pile carpets where it gives slightly better results) but the nozzle can be used to multi surfaces and even picks up decent amount of pet hair as well. In comparison with commercial vacuums it weight a lot less thus making it highly portable (which will be pretty useful if you have to carry it through stairs frequently for instance).

Because of the design (not self propelled and the nozzle type, etc) it will suit on hardwood cleaning, cement, stairs and other similar floor types only. Although this is not a big issue but the power switch location on the canister can be a bit of a pain sometimes (would have been better if it was on the handle near gripping area).

The dust cup is not an easy to empty one. This is not rocket science, but an easy to empty cup wouldn’t have hurt. The width and the height of the nozzle make it easy to glide it under beds and other tight places without a hassle.  So, if you have a lot of hardwood or hard floors filled with furniture and want something that is capable of “navigating” easily around them + with decent suctions, then the Panasonic MCCL485 can be recommended. But for who have a lot of carpets or rugs this is not the best vacuum cleaner you.
