Now, although it is primarily a bare floor cleaner, but, it has a beater bar so you can use it on low-pile rugs as well. And since beater bar is used for cleaning carpets, etc and kinda "alarms" the user on subtle surfaces such as wood or hardwood, but Electrolux has designed it in such as way that the bristles in the beater are soft thus they won't make any scratches on hardwood or any other subtle surfaces. So in general it is very safe to use it on subtle floors.

On bare floors such as tiles, linoleum, ceramics, etc.. it glides on them easily and thanks to the 10 inch nozzle it navigates around furniture an other hard to reach places with ease as well. Under the "normal" speed settings it'll last about 19-22 minutes and even with the normal speed setting, it cleans amazingly well!. As said it is not recommended for carpets but can be used on all sorts of bare floors + upholstery and other upper areas with "converted" into the hand-held vac as well.

The noise levels are quite moderate which is not a surprise when considering the size and its power. The dust-cup is pretty easy to empty too. So, if you're looking for a vac that is easily portable, can be used on all sorts of bare floors, makes less noises + comes with a reasonable price :), then Electrolux Unirapido 2 in 1 EL852A is a pretty good vac. Only for light duty cleaning jobs.

The S3686E has powerful suctions but I wouldn't recommend it using primarily on carpets. Although it does clean well on low pile carpets but it is mainly a bare floor cleaner, an excellent one I might add :). If you have subtle floors such as wood or hardwood, then this is a great solution that can be used without having to fear about making scratches either.

Thanks to the low weight + the shoulder wrap it can be used to clean stairs with ease as well. When considering the power of the suctions, the noise levels are quite low too, but the wire cord is a bit short, which is about 20ft. So, sometimes you may have to get some help from an extension cable.

So, if you're looking for an excellent bare floor (including stairs) cleaner that is easy to use and carry, takes little space of its own while storing but okay with the shorter wire cord (depends on the customer actually), then the Electrolux S3686E Mighty Mite is an excellent canister vac nonetheless.

Hoover F7411-900 MaxExtract

Hoover F7411-900  is a bit pricey carpet cleaner that comes with a 1 gallon water tank that can keep up with the work without having to refill much often which can be a pretty annoying, gentle scrub brushes,wider nozzle and will cost a bit higher than usual but if you really want some professional looking results then this is a great product.

It's big and comes in pieces and you'll have to do the assembly yourself. It's however isn't that hard and won't take more than 6-7 minutes. But as a safeguard please read the instruction manual before proceeding. The wire cord length is also very long 30ft which is again pretty high in the standards and if it were below this mark the users would've been very angry too after considering the asking price.

The rubber tube also has a length of another 10ft so altogether they stand at 40ft which should be more than enough for almost all floor cleaner usages. It has both steam and vacuum functions and can be used on carpets mainly.

Even though it looks and weights a bit higher than normal but still thanks to the design controlling and moving it around is pretty easy. The main switch which controls almost all features such as switching on and off, switching between vacuum and steam, etc wasn't the easiest button to get around but after a bit of a practice you should be fine.

It has a powerful motor and spinning brushes in the nozzle and as a result cleans with excellent results (including both stains, pet hair and dust). The water which was left on the floor was dries out quickly thanks to the stronger suctions. There are few detergents that can be used. 

There are two tanks. One is for the steam and the other for two purposes - one part for the cleaning solution and the other part is for the drain. The drain can be emptied with ease as well and make sure to wash the nozzle also to avoid any bad smells now and then.

Since the pad part it a bit wide and has "some" heights if you have some really slim corners sometimes it can be a bit difficult to clean them but this not a big problem however since it is designed to deep clean carpets (open area). So when considering all these features, if you can be at peace with the weight and the overall size, then the Hoover F7411-900 MaxExtract is an excellent carpet cleaner that can be highly recommended.
