Dirt Devil Vision Easy Steamer (MCE7450)

Dirt Devil Vision Easy Steamer MCE7450 is a carpet cleaner that comes with a moderately wider power nozzle, rotating brush-rolls, two tanks and a cleaning solution (shampoo) for removing stains and dust more thoroughly. Now the 11 inch nozzle may seem a bit shorter in comparison with others but if you have to clean under beds or hard to reach spots then it is pretty useful.

Main hardware details in brief...

*. Two separate tanks for both clean and dirty water (1 Gallon each).

*. Ergonomic handle.

*. 16 oz of shampoo solution (can be used on rugs as well).

*. 7.6 meters of power cord length.

*. 5.6 Amp motor. Remember the "Amp" rating may be a bit lower but most of the time you cannot judge the power of a vacuum motor solely based on the "Amps". But the 5.6 Amp one on the Vision is a moderately powerful one nonetheless.

*. No additional tools.

*. Although Dirt Devil says it is light in weight, but it does weight 7.7kg. But it's not that high in comparison with some others but still not a light weight steam cleaner either.

User Feedback Section

As mentioned before, it is compact in size and features (motor and brush-roll, etc). So not a heavy duty steamer, but still for its caliber it does clean your carpets and rugs nonetheless. Although it won't remove all the tough spots, but will remove most of them anyway. If you have a larger area to clean then be aware of the smaller tanks. So unless you're prepared to do few re-fills on your way, the Easy steamer may not be for you.

Although it weights about 7+ kg, still it is pretty easy to use. The biggest drawback is the lack of an inbuilt heater!. So unless you'd like to do the boiling all by yourself there will be no steam. It has a very cheaper price tag, which should be behind the "missing" on board tools and heater.

But still if you want an easy to use light-duty steamer to clean your carpets and rugs with decent results then the Dirt Devil Easy Steamer MCE7450 does a good job for its price. But if you're really serious about getting a "real" carpet steamer then you should avoid this.
