The suctions are really good and as a result it'll pick up pretty decent amount of pet hair as well (check out this dyson dc28 for an especially built cleaner for that purpose). The swivel head makes it easy to use and works really well on low-pile carpets, etc. The hose attachment however seems a bit short but when considering the price this is not a surprise and is something that you'll have to live with anyway.

The lightweight feature is very useful if you have to clean stairs or have to carry it to another floor usually. It is made out (most of it) of plastic, so may not be the most durable one either.The results under hardwood and carpets are excellent!.

So if you want to keep your floors clean and need to spend a little (way cheaper than the new dyson dc35 multi floor), then the dirt devil ultra swivel glide ud40235 is a must have.
