Hoover Whisper Cyclonic Upright Vacuum Review

Hoover whisper cyclonic upright vacuum is a quiet but yet a powerful vacuum cleaning device that comes with a cheaper price tag (in comparison with the oreck edge vacuum cleaner for instance). For a price that will be below $120 you'll get a utility (U5184900 model) with features such as an adjustable handle, robustly built, wider cleaning path, quite, hose attachment, etc. But because of the weight this is not for the customers who search for a portable vac.

Let's start the review as usual by giving you the hardware details first.

*. According to Hoover it is 20% more quieter than other upright vacuum cleaners.

*. It has a technology called "soft-start" which allows the motor to gradually increase the rotations without making a lot of noises.

*. Comes with a 12" hose (stretchable) and the wider but slimmer nozzle makes it easy to reach under beds and tight corners.

This has some strong suctions and can be used to remove pet hair, etc as well . As promised by the manufacture the noise is low, you can even watch TV without having to use higher volume settings for instance. Make sure to clean the filters properly, because if not maintained properly they can damage the motor (less efficient filtering = higher amounts of heat productions,... I think you guess the rest...).

But before doing anything with it you'll have to assemble it (very easy to do actually and won't take more than 5-10 minutes at max). Even though it is heavy unless you have to carry it around lifting, it is easy while pulling and pushing nonetheless. It is an upright but thanks to the provided hose attachment + the nozzles, you can even clean upper areas such as stairs with ease as well. This can be used on lot of different types of floors such as tiles, wood, ceramics, rugs and carpets especially, etc.

Although you can use it on multiple floors but may not be the best bare floor cleaner either (especially on hardwood and wood). So if the 12kg of weight is not a concern for you and have carpets or other floors but can accept the fact that it won't give impressive results but moderate ones, and need it to be cheap, then the Hoover whisper cyclonic U5184900 is a moderate product.
