Electrolux Harmony EL6985 is a canister vacuum cleaner which has a lot of attachments and powerful suctions but at the same time easy to use as well. The HEPA filters are capable of blocking allergic materials and are one of the best. The featherweight telescopic handle is very easy to use, especially on cleaning upper sections of furniture for instance. As said the HEPA filters are very durable and perform really well and there are several types of bags that you can purchase such as the standard bags (with standard filtration) or the Clinic bags with a filter of their own to block mites, etc, so if you have allergies then this is perfect for you.

As promised, it is quiet and can even watch TV without having to "fight" with the volume. Make sure to use the foot switch when switching from hardwood to carpets for instance. The cleaning head is wide (11inch) but there are however even bigger ones such as this bissell healthy home vacuum (has a mammoth 15 inch one) but the 11" is more than enough and does the job that it is made out to do anyway (you know helps to get it into narrow corners or under debs easily).

It even did a great job removing pet hair on several floors but the performance on shag carpets wasn't great, more likely a "decent". So for those types of carpets or little rugs you might want to consider something else (still it'll do great job on other floor types).
