Oreck Rinse A Matic Steamer

Oreck rinse a matic steamer (ultra) is a steam cleaner which is very similar to the previously reviewed xl shield power scrubber. This is a deep cleaner that can be used on carpets +hard floors and comes with a removable tank that is easy to maintain, a formula of its own for enhanced cleaning and not as quite as other Oreck products but still not a huge concern.

*. It uses an especial rinse free formula (chemical which scratch-free).

*. The wire cord has a length of 7.2 meters which is pretty good.

*. Upright design.

*. Also has the ability to clean and filter 99.99% of the known allergic materials, mold and dust.

*. No soap but uses rinse which prevents the residue.

*. The wider nozzle (path) will make it easy to cover more larger area but the height might be a bit of a hassle while trying to go under beds and furniture for example.

*. See-through plastic steam tunnel.

*. Real good suctions.

*. Comes with a cleaning wand for using on stairs and furniture.

*. Switching ability between shampoo and rinse.

*. Ease to remove and replaceable scrub brushes.

*. 72 oz tank capacity.

It has two motors, one for the brush rotations and the other is used for suctions. So basically you'll have powerful suctions and brush rotations at the same time. You don't have to use the Oreck formula only.. and other third party made ones can also be used too.

Strong suctions comes with a price which is the noise. Although not noisiest but it is loud. The tank is not that big which has both good and bad aspects. On the positive side it'll make it light in weight but somewhat lessen the continues steam output durations. Although you can use it on hardwood but the results won't be that impressive as on carpets.

So if you're willing to pay the higher price (as usual) and can accept the noise then the Oreck Rinse A Matic is an excellent carpet + hard floor steamer that you can get.

  1. The Oreck Rinse-A-Matic tank is not the best designed. It's difficult to realign and snap into place -- you can struggle with it for quite a while as the water in the tank begins to cool. And, the tank, while it weighs less than many, has to be changed quite frequently. If it weren't for that design flaw, I would like my Oreck much more.
