You can use it on Carpet, Upholstery, Auto, Stairs according to the manufacture. Although when considering the size it should be obvious that you cannot use it other than to clean medium or smaller stains, unless you're willing to spend a lot of time with it. Use the cleaning solution when necessary but it is not a necessity since you can still some pretty good results without using any chemicals. But if you have old and hard stains (usually caused by food spills and pets) then it is recommended to use the chemical.

It has powerful suctions too and won't spill a lot of steam thus reducing the time it takes to dry-out. If you have furniture, then make sure to use the crevice tool for getting the maximum out if it. The 15ft lengths of power cord may not sound lengthy, but for its size and purpose in my opinion it is more that enough. Because of the smaller size, you can use it to clean inside vehicles as well.

So if you have a lot of carpets filled with medium and smaller stains (apart from how tough they are) and want something to remove them with ease want it to be small so you could "sneak out" into tough to reach areas, etc... then the 1425B little green pro heat is an excellent product.
