Bionaire Steam Mop

Bionaire steam mop is another very popular (well maybe not as much as Hoover for instance but...) steam cleaner which is made by a company called Sensio Bionaire who is a well known expert manufacture of producing various air purifiers, humidifiers, heaters, fans, etc. They also have a various "green technology" type products as well (like the Bissell green machine 1425B).

Not only they have a reputation for innovating environmental friendly products but have the same amount of respect from the customers for designing robust, low maintenance and durable house cleaning products too. So if you're looking for a tool with those characteristics (well who doesn't like them?) then Bionaire has a long range of solutions for you.

But remember when a company drifts towards green technology they're more likely to use less chemicals and low on noises. Even though this has both positive and negative results depending on what the customer want (sometimes the negation of shampoos will reduce the overall cleaning abilities... but they'll be always more safer around children).

Here are some of the hardware details...

*. It comes with a ergonomic telescopic handle.

*. It has an auto shutting off mechanism built in (which turns it the machine off when on a vertical position for protections).

*. No shampoo or chemicals are being used.

*. The wire cord length is roughly around 4.8 meters and this is somewhat a moderate length but if you need more length then you'll have to use an extension cable. 

*. It also comes with few other tools (accessories) as well, such as - carpet glider, 2 pads with rectangle shaped and a shaggy duster.

*. The weight is 9 lbs which is lightweight and should be pretty easy to use (lifting, carrying, etc).

*. Price is in comparison with other floor cleaners is very reasonable too.

And as mentioned before this is pretty safe around the kids but remember the steam can bring skin burns and other accidents if used without care... so be careful. The pads will also be really hot even after few minutes of using. So pay extra attention to kids.

As said before it needs little maintenance but remember to remove the nozzle and maintain them properly. Read the manual before doing any disassembling. The tank capacity has 250 milliliters and should be able to give some reasonable amount of time after a complete re-fill.

But in comparison with some other products ... may be the price is the reason .. but anyway, it is not the most durable looking steamer (including the pads). Remember this is not a heavy duty cleaner and can only be recommended to use on kitchen, bathroom or other places with tiles, ceramics floors only.

So as a final note, the bionaire steam mop is an easy to use , has a bigger tank, light weight but because of its prices and other attributes it is somewhat limited and not the best durable one either. So I'd give it 3 stars out of 5.
