The Portapower CH30000 is an excellent hardwood & rug cleaner but if you have stairs to clean, then make sure to use the nozzle attachment that comes with it. It is very compact in size but has one of the strongest suctions for its size. And as a result, it removed a lot of pet hair from floors and stairs with ease!. The nozzle fit under hard to reach places + was pretty easy while navigating thanks to the compact size.

When combined with the 10 meters + the extension hose, you can clean from floor up to the ceiling. Again, while using on subtle surfaces (such as furniture for example), make sure to switch to the proper nozzle. You can use it on couch, baseboards, tables, etc. Although it is a highly versatile floor cleaner, but sometimes if you have to clean a lot of different types of materials, then you'll have to change the nozzle a bit often which can be a bit of a pain. This however is not a major concern by any means.

You can choose between cloth bags or paper bags. But if you have allergies to dust, then paper bags would be the best options, unless you're okay with having to clean the cloth-bags. It can be used on almost all the bare floors and rugs but not recommended for carpets (may be okay with low pile carpets, not sure though). Apart from all those surfaces, it gave the best results on hardwood.

Anyhow, if you have a lot of hardwood, rugs or subtle hard to reach places like furniture, etc and looking for something that is highly portable that cleans your subtle surfaces without making scratches but still powerful enough to remove both dust and pet hair, then I highly recommend the Hoover Portapower CH30000
