You can find some pretty good ones for removing pet hair, but most of the time they cost a lot of $$s. But one of the most cool things about the Pet Compact is that it comes with a very attractive price for its features. But remember, this is not just another cheap useless vac. It does remove an impressive amount of cat/dog hair from low pile carpets to bare floors nonetheless!. Because of the weight it is really easy to use and if you want something that is carry-able, then this is the one to go for.

It is not a self-propelled one, so if you have a lot of deep pile carpets then it could be a bit hard to push, so don't go for it in that case. But on low-pile carpets, rugs, stairs, etc... it is pretty easy to use. The noise levels aren't impressively lower but still they are quite tolerable. The dust bin may not have the biggest capacity, but for its size it is more than acceptable and can empty it as easy as pushing a button too. 

The HEPA filters will have to be replaced when get dirty and the foam filters are washable. But before putting them back on, make sure to dry thoroughly. Also make sure to clean the dust cup from time to time. The hose attachment looks good but a bit short to be honest. But when considering the price, it has to be tolerated. As said before it is not recommended to be used on high-density carpets (hard to push/pull) but on other floors it remove pet hair so well, sometimes it feels like mocking some of the "high-end" products (honest compliment).

So if you want one of the easy to use, best pet hair removing vacuum cleaners available for a very reasonable price that can be used on a lot of different types of floors but okay with the shorter hose attachment, then the Bissell PowerGroom Pet Compact 13H8 is really a great product that can be highly recommended.
