Hoover C1404 Commercial Elite is a heavy duty ready vac that has a wide cleaning path, two agitator brushes which deliver excellent results on carpets, few different height adjustments, uses large vacuum bags which let you clean for a long time without having to replace often and has a furniture/wall guard for protecting them from scratches while cleaning as well.

Although Hoover calls it "commercial", it is not as powerful as rug doctor or few other deep cleaners. For a very reasonable price for, this is a bit of a cheaper version of a "true" commercial vac, but make no mistakes, it removes impressive amount of both pet hair and dust/dirt (including larger things such as food spills, etc) from carpets nonetheless! because it packs with a really powerful motor + agitator brushes which specializes in deep cleaning carpets.

As said, for a commercial vac, the C1404 has a light weight. Although it's not self-propelled, but because of the weight, it is pretty easy to use. It can be used on bare floors such as wood and hardwood for instance and as with the carpets/rugs, it gives excellent looking floors afterward. Not quite sure if this is due to that lower price, but it is a bit loud (not unbearable by any mean though).

So, if you want a commercial vac that has a surprisingly price for their caliber (again not the most powerful vac in comparing with more "tougher" opponents, but... it is powerful) and can be okay with the bit heavy noises, then the Hoover C1404 Elite is one the best at this price range. A highly recommended product.
