Although canisters aren't usually the dominating vacs when it comes to cleaning carpets, but the Electrolux EL6988E seems to be one of the exceptions :). From carpets to tiles, ceramics, etc... it clean them really well. Thanks to the suctions + the power nozzle, it removes not only the dust but a lot of pet hair even on deep-pile carpets!. And you can change the height depending on the carpet which is a must for a proper carpet cleaner.

It is very powerful but yet, the noise levels are surprisingly lower!. The 13lb of weight makes it very easy to maneuver and very easy pull/push on bare floors especially as well. The vacuum bag isn't the most largest, but the moderate size is more than acceptable. The only issue (not a big concern) is the bit short wire cord.

Other than that, if you're looking for a powerful but a quiet canister vac, that can be used on a lot of different types of floors (furniture, etc thanks to the tools), easy to use, then I highly recommend the Electrolux Oxygen EL6988E. A great product.
